PRAYER FOR PEACE

Heal my wounded heart.
Grant me the courage to change my heart.
Let Peace live in my heart.

Fill me with compassion for those suffering in war.
Help me care for those in war.
Help me bring Peace to those in war.

Help me stop wars.
Help soldiers stop wars.
Help leaders stop wars.

Fill me with Peace and Justice.
Help me to work for Peace with Justice.
Let there be Peace with Justice among all peoples.

PEACE POEM

A man or woman of peace is not a pacifist,
a person of peace is simply a pool of silence.

He pulsates a new kind of energy into the world,
he sings a new song.
He lives in a totally new way;
his very way of life is that of grace,
that of prayer,
that of compassion.
Whomsoever he touches,
he creates more love-energy.

The woman of peace is creative.
She is not against war,
because to be against anything is to be at war.
She is not against war,
she simply understands why war exists.
And out of that understanding,
she becomes peaceful.

Only when there are many people
who are pools of peace,
silence,
and understanding,
will the war disappear.

Osho, from "Zen: The Path of Paradox"

PEACE

If there is to be peace in the world,
there must be peace in the nations.

If there is to be peace in the nations,
there must be peace in the cities.

If there is to be peace in the cities,
there must be peace between neighbours.

If there is to be peace between neighbours,
there must be peace in the home.

If there is to be peace in the home,
there must be peace in the heart.

Lao-Tse from Tao Te Ching

COSMIC MANTRA FOR PEACE

Om, peace to the universe
Peace to the sky
Peace to the earth
Peace to the waters
Peace to the plants
Peace to all the Gods and the Creator
Peace to all the beings
Om, peace of peace
Om, peace, peace, peace.

Babaji

Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.

“If there is to be
any peace
it will come
through being,
not having”
- Henry Miller

"Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centres of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls"
- Robert F. Kennedy
