CROP CIRCLES - Messages of Peace

Over the past twenty years or so, the South West of England has been gifted with many crop circle formations which have become progressively more complex each summer. It is not surprising that in the same region we find many ancient sacred sites such as stone circles, tumuli and long barrows, all located in stunning open landscapes.

My first personal encounter with the amazing crop circle phenomenon happened in 1997 when I visited my usual London bookstore and this is what I saw :

The display and combinations of these stunning designs of the 1996 season on a few postcards had a profound impact on me. Looking at the pictures of crop circles for the first time, I immediately perceived how important they were. I was moved by the beauty, peace and healing frequencies encoded in these formations.

The ‘Single Julia set’ (picture 1) which appeared in the daytime near Stonehenge, displays a perfect and extremely complex geometric design. It is constructed on a Fibonnacci spiral which is the progression of growth found in nature. The ‘Triple Julia Set’ (picture 3) which has the same impeccable accuracy of movement and proportions, implies rotating expanding equilateral triangles. DNA spirals are shown as well (picture 2). Among hundreds of other formations these patterns reflect the sacred geometry present in the unfolding of organic life itself.

Crop circles generally show the essential shapes and numbers of life and include the geometry of the 5 Elements, alongside many other inspiring universal symbols. Regularly featured are animals, reminding us about the interconnectedness of all life and also about ecological issues. These messages are ‘written’ right in the middle of our gigantic industrial cereal fields threatened by pesticides and GMO crops.

Maybe we are missing their messages by trying to endlessly discuss how the crop circles are created?

For example, among hundreds of crop circle images we find the ‘doves of peace’. Imagine that the circles represent seeds and that these doves are actually ‘planting peace’ in their flight. I feel that it is important to include their blessings for the International Day of Peace on 21 September.

“If there is to be
any peace
it will come
through being,
not having”
- Henry Miller

"Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centres of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls"
- Robert F. Kennedy
